12:00 – President Benne Brewer called the meeting to order.
Nate Meraz gave the invocation.
Introductions by all members and guests present.
Amber McNeil motioned to approve the April 10, 2018, meeting minutes. Debbie Thomason seconded. Unanimous approval.
Nate Meraz motioned to approve the financial report. Sarah Head seconded. Unanimous approval.
Under New Business, Candidate for OK House District 63, Tammie Reynolds, addressed the Chamber. Tammie is Assistant Superintendent for Elgin Public Schools. Her desire is to be an Educator’s Voice for Southwest Oklahoma and to be an advocate for rural education. She is running on a platform of strong family values, education as a priority, funding for rural healthcare, veteran support and her belief in local control.
