American Family Association celebrates the life of Dr. Billy Graham and invites you to join us this week in celebration of his service to God.
As a young child and into my adult years I remember watching Billy Graham crusades. Rev. Graham not only had an impact on my life but also the life of my father. In 1951 my father and the founder of AFA, Don Wildmon, attended a Billy Graham crusade which took place in Memphis, TN.
Throughout the years I have met thousands of fellow Christians and many of them say they were impacted because they attended one of the Billy Graham crusades. God anointed Billy Graham in ways that we might not grasp while on this earth, but one thing is for sure, many people came to know Jesus Christ as their Savior because of the work of this saint. What a great life of service to God!
Many have said that his death ends an era, but he would be the first to say that when God’s ambassadors die in Christ, the Lord raises up others, because the preaching of the Gospel will go forward until the end of the age. God’s blessing continues as He opens doors for the Gospel around the world.
Please pray for the Graham family in the days ahead as they honor a man who served the Lord with his life, loved his family, and was always grateful for God’s faithful people who supported him in the work of the ministry in Jesus’ Name.
As the family lays to rest this very public ambassador, please pray that the testimony he leaves behind will touch many lives and point them to salvation in Jesus Christ. His journey of faith on earth has ended. He has been reunited with his wife Ruth and has stepped into the eternal joy of Heaven in the presence of his Savior, in whom he placed his hope.
As we celebrate the life of Dr. Billy Graham, I hope you will accept my personal challenge to every person who was impacted by his ministry to share the Gospel with one person this week.
