Comanche County Assessor Grant Edwards Office Makes Perfect Audit Score
The Comanche County Assessor’s office received notification that it earned a perfect score on its 2017 audit. This is the first time Comanche County has received a perfect score. Out of Oklahoma’s 77 counties, only 4 counties had perfect scores while 3 were out of compliance. Comanche County Assessor, Grant Edwards, attributes these results to his outstanding team who works diligently to uphold the highest standards.
The Oklahoma Tax Commission conducts the Performance Audit Findings and the Final Statistical Analysis of Sales. The Oklahoma State Board of Equalization initiated annual audit in 2012. According to Edwards, the audit is approximately a 7-month process and includes 20 different areas for evaluation for a maximum of 275 points. Since taking office in 2015, the audit scores for Edwards’ office have continued to rise.
Edwards states, “Having qualified employees with the right attitude and commitment to their given responsibilities is the only way this can happen. We’re looking forward to another perfect score in 2018!”
