The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma will hold an informational meeting on the 2018 independent study trip to India and Nepal on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. in Davis Hall 124.
In association with the World Experiences Foundation, the 23-day trip will include visits to numerous landmarks including the Taj Mahal, Himalayan mountains, elephant sanctuaries and more.
“It’s very important that anyone interested in this travel opportunity attend this meeting because we will be hosting a speaker from the World Experiences Foundation,” said Dr. Brenda Brown, professor of English and trip organizer. “We will be covering the general itinerary and goals of the trip, travel costs, and, of course, answering any questions. We welcome any and all who would like to share this experience, not just those directly affiliated with USAO.”
Each year, USAO sponsors numerous faculty-led educational travel opportunities that are open to students, staff, faculty, alumni and members of the community. Students have the opportunity to earn course credit for the experience.
The World Experience Foundation brings citizens together in classrooms and communities worldwide to impart anti-bias multicultural and multilingual education. They offer professional development on global education and multicultural resources for educators around the globe.
