Attorney General Pruitt Announces New First Assistant, Staff Appointments
OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Scott Pruitt on Tuesday announced changes to his senior staff including the appointment of Cara Rodriguez as First Assistant Attorney General.
Rodriguez assumes the new role after serving as General Counsel to the Attorney General. Prior to serving as General Counsel, Cara served as Assistant Solicitor General. She has also served as a career clerk for the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
“Cara has been a vital member of our team for the past three years and will continue to do so in this new capacity,” Attorney General Pruitt said. “I have great confidence in Cara and her demonstrated leadership to our team and her willingness to serve the interests of the people of Oklahoma.”
Rodriguez graduated with a bachelor of arts from Tulane University and received her law degree from the University of Oklahoma with honors.
Rodriguez and her husband Martin have two sons, Christian and Ben.
Other staff announcements include the appointment of Deputy Attorney General Abby Dillsaver to the position of Deputy First Assistant Attorney General and Deputy General Counsel Sarah Greenwalt to the position of General Counsel to the Attorney General.
